How to apply Wall Decals?

How to apply Wall Decals The Wall Decal consists of 3 parts:

  • (1) Transportation Film (Skin over the vinyl)
Except Wall Decals Full Color, see instructions below.
  • (2) Wall Decal (Image)
  • (3) Protection Film (Skin behind the vinyl)

Wall Decals may be applied over any plain and flat surface (without rugosity) like; walls, glass, doors, mirrors, tiles and general furniture (cabinets, kitchen furniture, freezers and so on.). If your wall was recently painted, we recommend waiting 3-6 weeks before applying the Wall Decal.

IMPORTANT: Before you remove your items out of the package, please remove carefully all staples from the package in order to prevent damaging the items.

Steps to apply your Wall Decals:How to apply Wall Decals

  • Applying your Wall Decal is quite simple and easy. Just one tip, please make sure you have enough time on your hands to execute this task. Such task requires you to be careful and move slowly in order to obtain the perfect result.
  • The surface where the Wall Decal will be applied should be clean and dry.
  • You can mark the surface with some lines in order to place the Wall Decal correctly on the desired position.
  • Remove the Wall Decal out of the tube, place it on a table. Now, with the transportation film (1) faced up, pass a soft cloth on the film to ensure it sticks well on the wall decal.
  • Take about 5cm/2in from the protection film (3) and fold it down.
  • Place and glue the exposed part of the transportation film (1) to start applying. You may reinforce the fixing by applying some light adhesive tape (painter's tape).
  • Slowly and at the same time that you remove the protection, press the wall decal with a soft cloth executing gentle movements from the centre towards the edges. While you remove the protection film (3) please make sure that there are no pieces of vinyl attached to that film.
  • When you remove the protection film (3), the only thing attached to the wall will be the wall decal (2) and the transportation film (1). Now before you remove the transportation film (1), pass again with a soft cloth over the image. This will make it adhere correctly to the wall.
  • Start at one end and remove the transportation film (1) parallel to surface. Be careful that the wall decal (2) doesn't come off attached to the film (1). In case the wall decal (2) is attached to the film (1), go back a bit and press the wall decal once more.

Steps to apply Full Colour Wall Decals:How to apply Wall Decals

  • Full Colour Wall Decals are made by the wall decal itself (image) (2) and the protection film (skin behind the decal) (3).
  • To apply it, place the wall decal with the protection film (3) on the spot you wish to attach it.
  • Take about 5cm/2in from the protection film (3) and fold it down.
  • Slowly unroll the protection film (3) down, while pressing the wall decal against the surface with firm movements from the centre towards the edges.
  • When you remove the entire protection film (3), only the image will remain attached to the wall (2).
  • The wall decal (2) can be removed and reapplied as often as you wish, without damaging the wall or the wall decal.

Useful Tips:

  • If you wish that the wall decal cover a larger area (e.g from the floor to the ceiling), order a larger one so you can cut off the excess.
  • You may clean the wall decal with a soft and dry cloth but never with abrasive substances.
  • If in the end, after applying the wall decal, any bubble or surface reboil appears, pierce it with a needle and press.
  • Wall Decals are easily removable. To make the process easier, you should first heat up the wall decal using a hairdryer. After this, peal it off carefully from one end while heating up the bit that is attached to the wall. Follow this procedure until all the wall decals are removed from the surface.
  • When removing the wall decals, some traces of glue might remain on the wall, in this case, you can remove the glue using a wet cloth or alcohol.

Instructions on how to apply Wall Murals:How to apply Wall Murals

  • Applying your Wall Mural is quite simple and easy. Just one tip, please make sure you have enough time on your hands to execute this task. Such task requires you to be careful and move slowly in order to obtain the perfect result. Moreover, we suggest 2 people for this task.
  • The surface where the Wall Mural will be placed should be clean and without moisture. For a correct application, the surface must be plain and without any wall cracks.
  • Before you apply the Wall Mural, align the stripes on the floor in order to verify each ones position.
  • Being a photographic image, it is best to start from one side.
  • We suggest that you make vertical lines using a plumb-line to mark out the space between each mural stripe.
  • Apply a thin coat of glue on the wall. Make sure the glue covers the entire surface where the stripe is going to be applied. Follow the lines on the wall and start placing a stripe at a time. This type of glue allows you some time to adjust the paper if necessary.
  • Start applying each stripe from the upper corners and keep going down with the help of a soft and dry cloth or the palm of your hand. If any surface reboil appears, press from centre to the edge. The remaining stripes shall be applied following the previous procedure. In order to obtain a perfect alignment, you must slightly overlap the stripes.
  • Be careful that the glue doesn't touch the image.
  • After placing all the stripes, please wait for them to dry.
  • After drying, cut off the remaining paper on the ceiling and/or corners with a cutter knife and a steel ruler.

Hard corners:
If there are light switches and electric sockets, please turn off the power and remove any frames before placing your Wall Mural. Place the stripes as explained above; cut the excess of paper that stands for the frames using the cutter knife. Afterwards, you may place the frames back.
